Reporting to you live from the bottom of Lake Ontario

The Harrison Ford scene in Apocalypse Now:
A young looking Ford (actual age 38) in the part James Caan wanted too much dinero for.
Mr. Ford worked as a carpenter and stagehand for The Doors while he struggled to find worthwhile roles.
One day you're nailing nails and working with your hands, the next you're contemplating the foreboding poetry of Colonel Walter E. Kurtz.
It's hot enough on set to glisten with perspiration.  A true location.
One minute your a real nobody and the next you're sending Willard up a river into the heart of darkness.
A disturbing analogy of a snail on a razor's edge meant to convey the true gravity of the situation.
A dream vision of Kurtz's meant to convey his insanity.
God forbid you are ever judged like that for a dream or thought.
The operation is spelled out to the intercepted radio soundtrack of the snail tale; pretty decent roast beef and unappetizing prawns passed both ways for efficiency.

The prawns are central to the moment- will it be Willard's last luxurious meal?
Ford is perfectly uncomfortable laying out the top secret mission.  He sounds nervous, he clears his throat guiltily.
They are, after all, sending a broken man on a suicide trip to the seventh circle of hell.
It was really a cameo but he nailed it.
